Get to Know

Nam Kyun Kim, DVM

Dr. Kim’s journey into veterinary medicine was inspired by the bonds he’s had with his own pets. Those experiences inspired him to care for every patient the way he would hope his own pets would be treated.

Dr. Kim brings years of hands-on experience from working in emergency, urgent care, and general practice settings. He is recovery CPR certified, and his strengths lie in advocating for patients, thoughtful diagnostics, and clear communication, ensuring pet parents always understand the care their animal is receiving.

What He Loves About His Work

Being able to help a pet feel better and bring comfort to the family who loves them is what keeps Dr. Kim passionate about his work. Moments of recovery and relief are what make the profession so meaningful to him.

Adventures Outside the Clinic

When he’s not caring for furry patients, Dr. Kim enjoys snowboarding, swimming, and spending time with his family, including one four-legged son and two two-legged sons. His own experiences as a pet parent inspire the warmth, compassion, and dedicated care he brings to every patient at Pawspital.
